OBJECTIVES

• To train and develop Human Resources in the Public Service.
• To promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in the Public Service.

FUNCTIONS

• To formulate and review the Lesotho Public Service Training and Development Policy
• To Monitor implementation of the policy across the Public Service
• To coordinate the training of public servants across the Public Service
• To identify the training needs for Human Resources in the Public Service
• To identify the scare skills in the Public Service
• To compile and coordinate the Ministerial training plan and budget.
• To develop succession plan for the entire Public Service
• To facilitate issuance of Official Passports to Public Officers
• To compile the Public Service skills profile and maintain a skills database
• To network with international organizations and development partners for capacity development of Public Officers
• To provide guidance on career planning and development
