A NEW DATE FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE DAY CELEBRATION
All public officers are hereby informed that Cabinet approved that Public Service Day be celebrated on the Last Friday of October every year with effect from October 2010 instead of June 23. Therefore official Public Service Day Celebration will be on the 29th October 2010.
Throughout the years since 2005 the Government of Lesotho started celebrating the globally celebrated Public Service Day annually on the 23rd of June which is mid - winter month in Lesotho. The cold weather impacted negatively on some of the activities such as sports and participation of public officers in Public Service Events was gradually declining hence the decision to move it to October.
The aim of this festivity is to recognize and celebrate public officer’s efforts towards improvement of service delivery.

PUBLIC SERVICE TRIBUNAL, ARBITRATION AND CONCILIATION BOARD INCEPTION
Addressees are hereby informed that the Public Service Tribunal has started operating with effect from the 01 March 2010.Ministries and Agencies are advised to inform their employees to refer appeal cases to the Secretariat at House No. 543 Florida next to Lesotho Council of Non-Governmental Organisation. |

PUBLIC OFFICERS DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PENSION FUND SECRETARIAT
Public Officers Defined contribution Pension Fund Secretariat is relocating its offices from Maseru Sun Cabanas Office Block to second Floor Christie House effective 1st September 2009. All matters pertaining to the Pension Fund should be directed to this office, including refunds for non-eligible public officers. |
